Work Experience

Director - Perficient

MAR 2021 - Current Position

Since my last stages on the Delivery side (as a Solutions Architect), I was preparing myself for making that shift to the managing positions. I started in charge of some small accounts, mainly on Chicago & Florida, with approximately 30 people reporting to me. On September 2021 I took the most important account on Overactive, which was XPO Logistics, with over 120 engineers spread in several teams and diverse divisions. In October 2021, Overactive was acquired by Perficient, where I kept all my legacy accounts and new ones from Atlanta were added to my Portfolio. Currently, I'm handling directly & indirectly approximately almost 200 resources, spread across Uruguay, Chile, Argentina, Colombia & Mexico.

As a Director, I'm not only in charge of my own accounts on a daily basis, but also I'm responsible of adding value internally on many areas within the company. I play an important role on the Learning & Development team, helping to coordinate activities, talks, events and provide guidance for our resources career plans. I also contribute with the Talent Managment team, helping on the sourcing and staffing of key roles, where more specialized focus and background is needed. On the operations area, I work closely with the Project Managers to help them guide our people within the accounts, mainly from a technological point of view, but sometimes also help them how to handle specific situations with their managers and leaders on the client side.

Software Architect | Team Leader - Overactive / XPO Logistics, Inc

JUN 2019 - AUG 2021

Frontend team leader of the Web Team for XPO LTL (Less Than Truckload) division. Since we started working for XPO, our main goal was to migrate all the legacy systems developed in JSP to Angular 8. We're also developing not only external tools in Angular (user facing systems) but also some internal tools built in Node.js and Google Cloud Platform as a IAAS provider. We developed the whole CI/CD process based on TeamCity, Octopus and Terraform as the tool for managing our Infrastructure on our codebase (IAC - Infrastructure as Code).

Frontend Team Leader - Meitre

JUN 2018 - JUN 2019

My role was being the Frontend leader of the company. The main project we started was the migration of the old Backoffice developed in PHP and Vue.js to a fully SPA made with Angular 6 + Redux based on the previous design that we enherit from the legacy product. The developing enviroment is configured with Docker, to avoid enviroment issues. The CI is in AWS CodePipelines, which also runs over a Docker Image. We use GitFlow as development methodology with releases every 2 weeks. We also have another project using React + Redux and an hybrid mobile application developed with React Native. Lately, I've started exploring some Machine Learning courses in order to start implementing real-time predictions to our current product.

Senior Frontend Developer - 4iiz

MAY 2017 - MAR 2019

The product was started from scratch and it is the one that customers are using. It is developed with Angular 4 + Redux over a material design theme template and Bootstrap as CSS framework. The developing enviroment is configured with Docker, to avoid enviroment issues. The automation part is done with Protractor and the unit testing with Karma + Jasmine. The CI is in Bitbukcet Pipelines, which also runs over a Docker Image. We use GitFlow as development methodology with releases every 2 weeks. I was in charge of setting everything from scratch. As 4iiz is a StartUp, I had to get started with everything with one of the Co-Founders of the company.

AngularJS Developer - Verifone Inc.

JUL 2015 - MAY 2017

Worked as the frontend team leader (AngularJS) of one of the most important products of the company.
